Nancy Kay Zarracina

1954-11-10 2019-01-25

Zarracina, Nancy Kay (Olson) Nancy was born in Minnesota, on the 10th of November, 1954 to Mary Ann "Mickey" and Orlo Olson. She married Michael, the love of her life at the young age of 19, moved to California and never looked back.

Together they established Zee Signs which continues to prosper. They raised three amazing sons of which she was very proud: Jonathan (Marisa) Zarracina, Dustin (Summer) Zarracina and Ryan Zarracina. The apples of her eye were her two grandchildren, Lennon Love and Sudden Joy.

She is also survived by her sisters: Lynnette (Doug) Nordberg, Lynnae (Neil) Karsten and Debra (Larry) Clausnitzer and many adoring nieces, nephews and friends.

Nancy entered the kingdom of heaven peacefully on the 24th of January, 2019 with her husband by her side.

A memorial service was held on Saturday the 2nd of February, 2019 at the O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, California. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Nancy's favorite charity, The National Institute on Mental Illness (NAMI) nami.org/… and click "memorial donation" in her memory.

Nancy and I grew up in the same Crystal neighborhood which included
Thora Thorson elementary school.  It was there that I fell in love with her in the fourth grade.  For the next three years the crush persisted, and especially on Valentines Day when each year my heart pounded as I presented her with my Valentine card.  A smart, kind and beautiful woman. I have cherished her from that point in time to the present.  Bless her.

Another shining star has left us. She was a classmate that you only had loving thoughts about when she came to mind. The union of she and Mike Zarracina was so meant to be. You could tell the two of them in school had such a bond at quite a young age. That they had a great life together is a testament to that.

Dearest Nancy was one of my all time friends through school age to the day she passed.  I got married in 1972 and she was my bridesmaid. Even though she moved to CA, we still kept in touch and met from time to time.  I still keep in touch with Michael.  Nancy was beautiful, so smart and always loving to all.  Miss you.  Debbie Morrow/Campe
